Born on our own doorstep.
We kept noticing the same thing on our own doorstep in Westbourne Grove: brilliant independent cafés, restaurants and salons doing everything right in person, yet quietly losing out online. Genuinely excellent places with no website worth the name, and drawers full of paper business cards that ended up in the bin.
So we started small and local. One tap to share a menu, a booking page or your details, instead of fumbling for a card. We're at the start of this, not the end of it — which is exactly why we build the page before anyone has agreed to anything, and let the thing itself do the arguing rather than a list of names.
Taps came first and they still open the door. But the tap is the cheap part. The work around it is the real job — the brand the tap opens, and the admin that arrives the moment somebody uses it. That is where W2 Create and W2 Systems came from. Three brands now: the site, the tap that opens it, and the work that follows. The belief hasn't changed since day one — the best technology gets out of the way, and a single tap should be all it takes.
Day to day, we're in Funchal. Madeira is where this is run from, not somewhere we visit — so if you're on the island, the conversation happens in Portuguese, in person, and it starts on w2create.co.uk/madeira.
